BARABAI (TABIRKota) — Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency (HST), South Kalimantan (Kalsel), succeeded in earning the Adipura award for the eighth time.
The award was received by the Regent of HST, H Aulia Oktafiandi from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/3).
H Aulia Oktafiandi said the award received was the HST District Government’s efforts in 2023 in managing the environment.
“As a small city category, HST is considered capable of maintaining and improving cleanliness in the region,” he said.
The implementation of the Adipura Award is an affirmative medium in efforts to realize sustainable environmental quality in Indonesia.
“It is hoped that the essence of Adipura will always be maintained to ensure the involvement of various elements, especially the commitment and performance of each regional government and the wider community in realizing sustainable development,” he said.
Previously, the HST Regency Government had won seven Adipura trophies, respectively in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2023 as the eighth award.
