BARABAI (TABIRkota) — The Regent of Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST), South Kalimantan (Kalsel), H Aulia Oktafiandi received the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Awards in the Middle Category after successfully ensuring that 98.8 percent of the local district population was covered by health insurance.
According to H Aulia Oktafiandi, he received the UHC Awards for the Middle Category on Thursday (8/8) at the Krakatau Grand Ballroom, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta.
“The UHC Awards for the Intermediate Category were successfully obtained due to cooperation and collaboration from various parties,” he said in Barabai, HST’s capital city, on Saturday (10/8).
He said that 98.8 percent of the HST population was covered by health insurance with a total of 105,544 registered people as of June 2024.
“Hopefully the synergy and collaboration of all parties can improve the quality of health services so that people experience optimal health security,” he said.
Head of BPJS Health Barabai Branch, M Masrur Ridwan, added that the HST regional government had worked together to make the implementation of the quality National Health Insurance (JKN) program successful for the community.
“With the direction of the Regent of HST, H Aulia Oktafiandi, the local government has been able to protect from the fear of seeking treatment and the cost problem,” he added.
To date, all districts in the working area of the Barabai Branch of the BPJS Health Office have received the UHC designation, such as Tapin, Hulu Sungai Selatan, Hulu Sungai Utara, HST, Balangan and Tabalong.
