BARABAI (TABIRkota) – Two villages at Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST) Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) have won the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Kalimantan Regional Sustainable Development competition held by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (PDTT).
HST Regent, H Aulia Oktafiandi said, the two villages are Ilung Village in Batang Alai Utara (BAU) District and Pandawan, Pandawan District.
“The two villages, Ilung and Pandawan, were proposed as HST representatives in the fourth stage of the Kalimantan Regional SDGs competition,” he said at Barabai, the capital of HST, on Saturday (15/6).
After going through stage four, he said, Ilung was declared the first winner and Pandawan was the third winner in the Kalimantan Regional.
“For his success in winning first place, Ilung has the right to take part in the fifth stage of selection, namely field verification to compete for national champion,” he said.
Head of BAU Subdistrict, H Budi Hariyanto added, that the achievement of the Village SDGs was thanks to the support of all parties and direction and guidance from the Regent of HST, H Aulia Oktafiandi.
“For the next fifth stage, we ask for assistance, support, inspiration, facilities, and guidance from all parties,” he added.
The fifth stage of selection is planned to be carried out on June 20 in the form of field verification to compete for the National Champion of the 2024 Village SDGs competition.
