BARABAI (TABIRkota) – The government of Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency (HST), South Kalimantan (Kalsel) is building a lump storage warehouse to improve the quality of rubber produced by farmers.
H Aulia Oktafiandi said, that to increase rubber quality and production, the HST Regency Government had done several things.
“One of them is the construction of a lump storage warehouse as a place to store rubber so that the quality is maintained,” he said when laying the first stone for the construction of a Lump Storage Warehouse, Titian Panjang Processing and Marketing Unit (UPPB), Pauh Village, Limpasu District, Wednesday (17/7).
With a lump storage warehouse, he said, farmers can dry rubber products better.
“Good product quality will increase selling prices and farmers’ income and economy, even though rubber prices fluctuate,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the HST Agriculture Service, Budi Satrya Tanjung, said that to increase rubber quality and production, the local district government had built 15 UPPB units.
“UPBB functions as a place to provide technical guidance on processing and temporary storage of rubber products,” he said.
At the groundbreaking activity which was attended by the Head of Limpasu District, local Forkopimcam elements, the Head of Pauh Village, and other invitees, Rubber Product Processing Training was also carried out.
Apart from that, digital scales were also handed over to UPPB Pauh, UPPB Suka Maju, UPPB Abung, UPPB Limbar and UPPB Usaha Maju.
