BARABAI (TABIRKota) — The Regent of Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST), South Kalimantan (Kalsel), H Aulia Oktafiandi led 191 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the local Regional Secretariat (Setda) in a tree planting movement as an expression of gratitude for having received a promotion.
The trees planted were 100 durian seedlings, which were planted in Wawai Gardu Village, East Batang Alai (BAT) District, Saturday (27/4).
It is hoped that the tree planting movement will become a tradition in celebrating promotion, said H Aulia Oktafiandi.
“Tree planting is also part of the greening movement which will provide direct benefits to the community,” he said.
The tree planting movement, he said, is a form of real concern from the HST Regency Government (Pemkab) towards environmental conservation efforts.
“So it’s not just a hashtag or slogan “Save Meratus”, but it is realized with a real movement,” he said.
Head of the HST Regional Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDMD), Wahyudi Rahmad, added that previously tree planting movements by ASN had been carried out in various local districts.
“The tree planting movement as a form of gratitude is also mandatory for new employees, both CPNS and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK),” he added.
This time, the tree planting movement was carried out by 191 ASN who received promotions for the period February and April 2024.
